Dear 18 Year Old Me

I've seen this floating post around on Twitter and I think it's such a good idea. So I thought I would jump on the band wagon and do it.  If you are wondering I'm 21 so this is a letter to myself 3 years ago.

Dear 18 Year Old Me,

Them so called friends and best friends you have whilst at school, won't be there after you get your new job at Tesco's. They will drop you like a fly because you are now working unsociable hours. So you will reflect on whether they were true friends whilst you were around them.

The boyfriend you are dating, you know the one that would buy new things to keep you around. You will find the balls to dump him to make yourself happy for once. Don't stay with someone because you could click your fingers and get what you want.

When you start your at your new work place you will make lots of new friends but one particular guy will catch your eye. His name is Tristan. Tristan will ask you out after a few days of going on dates. He will go out his way to see you almost everyday whilst your at work. Tristan will be the breath of fresh air into your life. He will take you to Spain for a holiday because he doesn't like the fact that you've never left the country before. His true gentleman. He makes the promise of having at least one date night a month, which he actually sticks by. He will be the pain in the arse that you love to the moon and back. He makes you laugh, and his cheeky smile will get you every time. Almost 3 years into the relationship and you will still get butterflies when you see him.

You should of got back into your badminton career when your back became better. When you retired your badminton racket at age 17, you were so emotional. Badminton was a large part of your life, remember having 3 to 5 training sessions a week and competitions after work on the weekend. If you were good enough for Kent trail outs then you should go back to playing badminton, you were fantastic at it.

You will start blogging and this will open up so many opportunities for you. You will meet so many new people and you will gain confidence that you never thought you would ever have.

See you guys soon!

Kim xx
