My November

My November has been a very different month compared to my usual months.

The first week of this month I spent changing my blog and updating it. I've added in buttons and tabs into the blog to make it look more professional. I hope it's starting to look better and not just thrown together. I hope you've noticed the changes!

I was sent on company business for 2 weeks with Tristan, my best chummy Naomi and her husband Steve. We went to Milton Keynes for our company business trip where we were helping out in Fennylock which is the home and the main hub of Tesco's Direct. It's a massive warehouse where we were doing everything and anything to help with there day to day running.
A bit of a selfie action whilst in the car!

We were put up in the Novotel Hotel which was a lovely hotel full of those men and women in their business suits and there was us guys in our Tesco uniform and hi-vis's. The hotel food was amazing! I have wrote a review about it, if you haven't seen it yet then click here.

The last week of November we spent in Devon staying at a place called Finlake. I absolutely love Finlake and have been going there for years and we went to Finlake last year for Tristan's 22nd birthday. It's becoming a tradition that we go there for our birthdays. Which meant another trip was needed down there.

We had such a cute lodge nestled in the woodland forests, our lodge sleep 2 people and have a hottub and sauna. It is a honeymoon style lodge however it was just prefect for mine and Tristan's needs.

Do you guys remember me telling you in my "My October" blog post that I went out with my sisters for a reason but couldn't say why! Well, its because my big sister Dawn got married to her fiancé Ian. They got married in Antigua on the 24th. We took her out for a night into Rochester Highstreet for a cocktails and a meal between us 4 girls! I love all my sisters so much! Good luck to you Dawn in your marriage! She looks beautiful in the photos that she has sent us.

I hope that you've enjoyed this month as much as I have. It's been a very different sort of month for me to stay the least because of everything that has been going on. However it was still a brilliant month. Let me know down below, what you have been up too.
Until next time..

Good Things Deep Clean Blackhead Exfoliator

Hey guys, sorry I've been away for a little while, Ive been on company business and haven't had the time to sit down and just write my posts up.

Whilst I've been away I have been using this exfoliator that I found in Boots. I found this in the skin care aisle. I wasn't looking for anything new when I was in there but the bright vibrant packaging caught my eye and I thought I would try it.

The product inside is very nice texture and the scent isn't too over powering as well which is a plus. I think that the micro beads that are within the product are small and gentle compared to other skin exfoliators.

It's wasn't too expensive costing £4.99. This to me is something that is purse friendly in my eyes. I do usually use the Simple Skin Care because it's so gentle on my skin, however this is so gentle on my skin. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new black head exfoliator.

Let me know below what you guys like to use on your skin below. Until next time.

Benefit POREfessional - License To Blot!

Benefit The POREfressional - License To Blot!

I've been using this whilst I've been on company business. I've been working within a warm warehouse where it is an high pace environment. My makeup on the first few days as sliding a little bit around the place even though I had set it with a powder and spray.

This product is meant to help mattify shine on the face for up to six hours or so. You can use the product before or after makeup but I found it too oily when I put it on before my makeup so I used it after.

I personally saw the mattifying affect on my T Zone when I used it. However on my chin and other areas of my face it didn't work personally for me. I had used it to help touch up make up within the work environment but the makeup transferred to the stick which a bit grim. I would of preferred a bit of blotting paper.

I don't think this product is the best thing in the world for me personally because of the sort of skin that I have which is combination skin. I have very oil skin so I do find it hard for my makeup to set at times if I'm just using a spray or a powder. I do use both most of the time. I used it for a couple of days whilst away and my forehead broke out so badly with spots. I think it just clogged my pores up.

I don't know whether I would recommend this to anyone because of my experience using the product. I think it's something that everyone has to try because of the different skin types that are out there.

Let me know below whether you have tried this out and what your experiences of it are? Until next time.

Eco Tools Powder Brush

Whilst doing some last minute shopping for the business trip I went on, I found this little beauty in Tesco's. I've got the Eco Tools Bamboo 6 Piece Eye Brush Set and I love using them so I thought that this brush would fit perfectly into my makeup collection. This is the Eco Tools Powder Brush.

I do love the Eco Tool brushes because they are so eco friendly. Whilst they are being created they are cruelty free and the packaging is recycled materials which I do love. Not a lot of the companies out there uses recyclable goods within there product or packaging.

The brush handle is made out of bamboo and the brush bristles are so soft it's unbelievable to the touch. I haven't washed the brush as of yet so I don't know how it will feel after that but the brush is so nice. The brush picks up the product very well.

The brush retails for £9.99 which I think is a good price for a brush. I do normally use Real Technique brushes for applying powder but I do prefer this brush to the Real Techniques.

I do love the Eco Tools company and I wish to try even more of their brushes!

Let me know below what brushes you love to use, whether they are high end or drug store branded brushes. Until next time..

Coconut Lane Discount Code!

Good morning you lovelies! The other day I was contacted by the lovely Charlotte Stagg from Coconut Lane. For those who have never heard of Coconut Lane but it is a online store which sells boutique home and fashion accessories.

The products that they sell look so good and I'm placing an order myself considering payday has just arrived! Looking at their product, they would in my opinion make an outfit or make a room just pop.

Whilst I was browsing their website I've seen some beautiful things that I will be ordering or putting it on my wish lists. I've got 4 things that I really really do like.

This is the moon and star necklace. I think it would look nice with a cami top or something similar to that. It costs £12.50.
This ring is just beautiful I would wear this all the time. I like the fact that it has a heart as well as a wing. It is a bit different to other custom jewellery that is out there on the market. This retails at £12.50.
I do love a good wish bone and whenever I get one I always make a wish. If you are a good wishbone lover like me (because that doesn't sound rude) then purchase this. It's different and very quirky in comparison to things I've seen recently. This costs £12.
I do love a good mobile phone case and at the moment mine is a penguin. I do love the marble affect and I would love to have this on my phone. So Tristan if you're reading this then please can you buy me it! ☺️ It only costs £12. I'm assuming that it is a hard case phone case and not a silicone one.

If you are looking for something else to entice you into purchasing something from Coconut Lane then how about a 20% discount code? They have given me a 20% discount code for my followers to use. The discount code is 'kim20', so just before you checkout pop it in and voila you have 20% off.

Let me know below whether you have found something that you like or love and whether you have ordered something. I would like to know what things you guys are looking into?

Until next time!

Novotel Hotel - Company Business!

I've been on company business for the last 2 weeks in Milton Keynes where I've been staying at the Novotel Hotel.

I've been put in a hotel room which has a double bed with a convertible sofa, I am sharing the room with Tristan because both of us have been sent on this trip.

The bed was so comfortable, it was one of the Novotel's Live N Dream beds. The pillows were very interesting and I've never known a hotel that I've stayed in to have these sort of pillows. However they had the standard pillows like we all have and then there were these special sort of pillows that you can bend and use as a back support if you were resting on the bed.

The room service was amazing. The food they delivered was even better. I really did love their food. I ended up ordering sweet potato fries and their warm brownie and salted caramel ice cream most nights. ahhhh... It was amazing! I wish I had salted caramel ice cream all the time.

The breakfast was a buffet where you could just pick what you wanted. They had both full english and continental breakfast. I had a full breakfast everyday of the week then had fruit to finish off with.

The hotel room was very nice, the bed was made perfectly. There we toiletries within the bathroom which were a nice little touch. The room had everything that 2 people would need. The Novotel Toiletries were all fair trade and made out of sugar cane or avocado oil.

We spent time in the hotels facilities, the hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and gym. We spent the mornings in the pool and the sauna. The pool is a little small of my liking because they held swimming lessons in there as well which would take up the whole pool so there weren't much room for us to do lengths. The sauna was lovely but it weren't hot enough in our opinion.

It was a lovely stay at the Novotel, I would recommend this brand of hotels to anyone. It is slightly expensive but is worth the money.

until next time

Stocking Fillers #2

There are so many stocking fillers out there on the market that I thought I would do a short series in things you can buy. This series will be of stocking fillers you can buy for him, dad, brothers, granddads, Uncles. Any man in your life. All links for the products can be found at the bottom of the post.

This is a brilliant gift for anyone who is a lover of ales. Sharps is a amazing company and produces some nice ales and this year they have come out with this twin pack with a Doombar engrave bottle opener which I think is a nice touch. £8

This is a good little health and beauty gift set that got a bit of an added twist to it. It's like a normal Lynx gift set that comes with a torch with a charger as well! This could be used for anyone at any age. A torch will always come handy for them dark nights. £6.25.

This is something I think an man that is a bit of a handy man or finds him self doing a spot of DIY would love to own because it has a spirit level inside it and a pencil holder. £9.95.

A good multi tool is a good weapon within any man's tool box selection. This has a multitude of different tools within the hammer itself. It has a swiss army knife, screw driver and a bottle opener. £16.95 on sale right now but normally would retail for £20.

What Did I Get For His Birthday!

HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY TRISTAN!

I absolutely love birthday's and everything that comes along with them! I've spoilt Tristan once again! So I thought how am I meant to trump the birthday presents I brought him a week away holiday all paid for by me in Devon. So I've been listening and keeping notes everywhere of what he wants. I don't know whether I've beaten it but I've brought everything that his spoken off.

To start off with I've brought him a Armani Watch that he has been eyeing up for absolutely ages! I hope he love it because I can't wait for him to open it up.

So I brought him the new Assassin's Creed, Rise Of The Tomb Raider & Star Wars Xbox One Games. All of these are games that he has been raving on about for the last few months! So I pre ordered them and brought the other one whilst we were out shopping.

I absolutely love the card I've got him. It's a dog dressed up as Princess Leia from Star Wars. It is meant for a girl however, it just cracked me up so I thought I would get it.

Since we are away on company business whilst it is Tristan's Birthday, I've arranged with the hotel for them to produce a cake for Tristan! He doesn't know a thing about it until we go down to lunch at 12. hehe.

That's everything I've got him because we are going away for our birthdays so we spent a bit more on the accommodation than we would normally. I hope you've enjoyed being a little bit nosy into what I've brought Tristan for his birthday! I can't wait for his christmas presents to be opened. I've spoilt him rotten!

Let me know what you've got for your partner or your man in your life for birthday or christmas down below. Until next time.

Boohoo Dress #1

For anyone that knows me I'm not the type of girl who likes to throw on a dress but recently that has changed. My collection of going out dresses has expand which in my mind is always a good thing! As The Queen B said herself, "every girl should have that freak'um dress!" Here's just one of the dresses that has gone into my ever growing collection.

Cheryl Skater Dress

This is the Cheryl Skater Dress in the colour Berry retailing £20. I personally love this dress and I brought it for a meal out with my otherhalf. The mesh panel at the top is what I love most about it because its different compared to the other dresses that are on the Boohoo Website where its all the same material all over. The length of the dress is just prefect for me, it sits just under 2 inches above my knee.

The material that it is made out is a fairly thick so it kept me warm whilst walking around in it whilst out in a cold wintery night, however it does let you breathe in it and it didn't make me over heat whilst in the restaurant.

I would pair this dress up with a simple black clutch, a pair of black high heels with a strap, a Thomas Sabo bracelet and black or a dark in colour nail polish. For my face, I would go for a natural look so I had natural tones on my eye lids, minimal mascara and eyeliner with a natural coloured lipstick. Hair wise I decided to go for a straight hair with a center parting which I styled using VO5 and Patene.

I hope you enjoyed, please leave your comment below if you liked this and want to see more of this or leave a comment or link about your favourite dresses from Boohoo.

Until next time..
