Things That Kids Now Days Wont Understand.

So much has changed since I was a kid, now I was only born in the 90's but there are some many things that kids now days won't understand about. Here's a few to say the least.

- Kids won't know what a CD is, everything is now digital. CD's are old skool.

- Let alone CD's being old skool, cassette tapes are anicent. They won't remember the stress of having to rewind a cassette with a pencil or your finger. As well as the stress of it all when the ribbon of the cassette would get caught up in Hi-Fi or steoro and you would spend some time untangling it all.

- The arm ache of undoing the window in the car. Especially if it was a stiff window. Now days they have a pleasure of pushing a button.

- Now I said kids won't know what an actual tape is, remember before we had DVD's we had tapes. The grainy black and white lines that use to go up and down on the screen.

- Downloading things on LimeWire and giving your computer so many viruses, but at least you had the latest songs though.

- Having to use dial up internet. God the noise that it use to make takes me back, as well as your mum kicking you off the internet so she could ring someone. Or if the internet stopped working then you knew someone was trying to ring you.

- Floppy disks. They were so nifty back then now days we have USB sticks. I remember having to save my work across 3 floppy disks just to get it all saved.

- Portable CD Players, they were fantastic. They were incredible if you were going out and wanted to listen to music. However you never had a pocket that was big enough to put it into.

- MySpace and Bebo, these were the days. You would spend hours trying to get it all perfect. You would have snazzy back grounds and everything, however thinking about it now, it was just god damn awful.

Now these are a few things that kids now days won't understand. What are the things that you think that kids now days wouldn't understand, let me know.

Saving Goal Update #1

If you have been following my blog you'll know that I'm on a saving mission of a life time. If you are new to my blog then just so you know I'm saving for a mortgage deposit. I thought I would just do a little update for you guys.

End of August is when I set my first milestone goal of achieving £3,000. I have smashed that saving goal and I have actually saved an extra £400.

oh yeah..

Super proud of myself to say the least. I don't know what to even say about it but the way to look at it is that I have saved just over 10% of my overall deposit.

I shall update you guys again in December, my target for then is to have £4,000. I have got lots of other things to pay out for in November & December which will hinder my savings however I should still be able to hit saving goal. Hopefully! Let's hope Christmas presents are too expensive!

How are your savings going?

My Top 5 Disney Movies

Now for those who truly know me, I'm not a massive Disney fan however I do like to dabble in Disney films every now and then.

Here are my Top 5 Disney films in no particular order.

Lilo & Stitch

Now this is something I can get excited about. I don't know what it is but Stitch makes me so happy inside. I love watching these movies with Tristan especially when he starts talking like Stitch because his Stitch impression is amazing. But he gets all embarrassed when he does it but he will recreate sections of the film with me when we are messing around.

All The Pirates of The Caribbean Movies.

Johnny Depp is such an amazing actor and I think this is one of the many reason to its success. The rest of the actors are amazing and you can't discredit. I'm super excited on where they take the next movie. It's something about the one liners that are in the movie as well that perfect.

Inside Out

This movie is just brilliant and I love how they have the emotions as the main characters. It's a different way of displaying peoples emotions. My favourite character was Sad, I related to her so much with her mannerisms.

Frozen

I actually like Frozen and it's one of the only Disney musical movies actually I like. I actually love Olaf and it's Tristan favourite characters. I don't know what it is but Olaf has a special spot in my heart.

A Bug's Life

This movie is something that I use to watch on repeat on the VHS whilst I was growing up. I probably still do have a the tape somewhere around. It's just a classic movie and it has some many good bits of advice in it that you only recognise as you get order in it.

Well what are you top 5 Disney movies? Let me know!

My Favourite TV Shows Right Now

TV is something that I absolutely love watching and is my favourite past time apart from blogging obviously. haha.

Naked Attraction

Now I know not everyone knows what this is but it's a dating show where you have 6 naked people in pods and their bodies become revealed in stages and they get whittled down to 1 and they go on a date. Does that makes sense? I hope so if not go watch it on a Thursday at 9pm on Channel 4.

Game Of Thrones

Do I need to say anymore... I don't think so. It's amazing! The drama... I can't believe it's almost at the end for the season.

Brooklyn Nine Nine

Now Brooklyn Nine Nine stars Terry Crews, Andy Samberg, Joe Lo Truglio and many other good actors. It's a about a carefree Police Detective at the 99 precinct who works with fellow officers to solve crime. It's a very good comedy and never gets boring. It's on E4 on a Thursday evening.

Finding Carter

Now Finding Carter is about a girl that goes missing when she was 3 and she gets arrest at age 16 however she does not know about she's been kidnapped until she is returned back to her original family. This is when she finds out that she has a twin sister and a little brother. Little does she know that it her kidnapper will play amazing part in her life.

This is the TV show that I got addicted too and I'm waiting for it to return back to TV on the MTV Channel.

Chester Zoo

Now this is just a documentary about Chester Zoo, now I absolutely love animals and they have such a large range of animals at the zoo. They get you into the behind the scenes areas which is amazing to see. I love seeing the different amount of animals that they have. I keep bugging Tristan about going to Chester Zoo, however it's around a 4/5 hour drive away which is just a bit too far for a day trip. It gets aired on Channel 4.

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad is something that Tristan and I have just started binge watching because I brought Tristan the box set for our 4 year anniversary. Tristan is absolutely loving the episodes and they are super easy to follow. It's not like Game Of Thrones that you have to give your full attention too no matter what. Bryan Cranston is an amazing actor and he plays his character amazingly.

I know I'm running a few years behind everyone else on this program however I'm glad I've now discovered it.

I'm thinking about getting Netflix and this means more programs to be watching. What programmes would you guys recommend me to watch on Netflix?

52 Week Saving Challenge

Saving is one of those things we all know we have to do, and it's a bit of bug bear. If you have been following my blog you'll be fully aware that I'm saving for a mortgage deposit. Now if you've got something big or little to save for then this is a plan for you. This is an saving plan idea that could save you £1456, if you stick too it.

Now you can do this as a week savings or a daily savings, it will work both ways. So there is a set amount of money you save per day so;
On a Monday you should save £1,
On a Tuesday you should save £2,
On a Wednesday you should save £3,
On a Thursday you should save £4,
On a Friday you should save £5,
On a Saturday you should £6,
On a Sunday you should £7,

OR if you don't want to save daily, you could save £28 a week,
OR you could save it monthly(4 weekly) it would be £112.

and this over 52 weeks of the year will equal £1456. It seems so easy to save £28 a week and this will build up to a fairly large amount of money for something that you could spend on for holiday, or Christmas or just paying for a bill.

I hope this helps you and if you have your own savings plan then let me know below what it is.

My Favourite Finds On Uncommon Goods*

Now I'm someone who loves giving gifts and with Christmas and many other events happening in the next couple of months. I'm already in a buying spree for the presents. As many of you know if you've followed me for a while you'll know. I have a massive family so trying to find unique gifts for everyone is difficult, that's until I found Uncommongoods.com

For those who haven't heard of Uncommon Goods before they are based in Brooklyn, New York. They have a mission as a company to have a positive impact on the world. This means they aren't just "green", they also like to insure that there workers are treated with the upmost dignity and respect and offer them the best health and wage packages that they can possible offer. They also committed to selling gifts and goodies that are do not harm people or animals which is something I absolutely love. They also have a passion for making sure they use recycled and organic products within their products. You can read more about their mission as a company here.

Let's get down to the goodies they sell..

I'm on the hunt for the prefect gift for my niece or nephew that is due any day in September. I've seen some amazing things in their baby gift range. I've found some adorable little baby onesies and my personal favourite the little booties. Super adorable. They have such an amazing range of baby goodies that will suit all budgets for everyone out there.

I'm absolutely into personalised gifts, they have so many personalised goodies that you could make your gifts that little bit extra special. I really love this Venn diagram board, I personally would never use it, it would just be something that sits in the kitchen looking pretty. I feel like this would make an amazing gift for a wedding gift or even for those aunties or uncles in the family.

I'm not getting married anytime soon, but I will definitely be returning to this website for this all important gifts for those bridal and groom parties gifts. Necklaces are an amazing as a gift for those special bridesmaids to thank them for being a part of your special day.

If you find something amazing on the website whilst you are looking then please let me know what you find!

My Favourite Shopping Locations

Now I'm a massive lover of shopping and I've discovered some amazing shopping spots across Kent and Essex. I know most of the same highstreet shops are in all these places however I love shopping in different atmospheres and places.

InTu Lakeside (Essex)

Lakeside is one of my favourite places to go when I'm planning a massive shopping trip. If your not from around Essex and Kent and have never heard of Lakeside, it's a massive shopping centre with even more shops surrounding it, in there own little parks. Lakeside is around a 30 minute drive and a toll bridge/tunnel away.

The main reasons why I shop at Lakeside is for Summer clothes, Christmas and Home shopping. There is a diverse amount of shops at Lakeside ranging from Primark, IKEA, B&M, Swarovski, Disney Store and lots more shops.

Westwood Cross (Broadstairs)

Westwood Cross is lovely and is definitely a very relaxed shopping experience compared to Lakeside. Tristan and I love going down there because the shops are a bit more spread out. Westwood is around 50 minutes drive away which I don't mind driving when it's so relaxing whilst you are down there.

I usually go shopping down there in October because that's when I usually start my Christmas shopping. I love it because there's a fair few shops down there. It's smaller than Lakeside however, it's still as amazing. I normally find the best gifts whilst here.

The Mall & Maidstone (Maidstone)

Maidstone to me is like another traditional highstreet nowadays, you can go down into the highstreet and find most things that you are after. Small jewellers, typical clothing stores like; Next, Newlook and Primark.

They have a Hobbycraft which is my favourite things... I'm really starting to get into my craft bits. This is my usual go to shopping place because it's so easy and accessible for myself because it's around 15 minutes away from my house.

Ashford Designer Outlet (Ashford)

Ashford Designer Outlet is the best place to go for those unique things. I love it down there because you are able to get so many good bargains. I love it even more because there's a Yankee Candle shop down there!... I don't need any more convincing that I need to go shopping down there.

These are my favourite places that I love to go shopping. All these locations are within 50 minutes drive or under away from where I'm based in Kent.

Where are your favourite places to go shopping? Let me know!

Richard Ward Keratin Rehab Review

My hair is my pride and joy. I always want to keep it in it's best condition so when I saw the Richard Ward Keratin Rehab, I was super excited for this goodie. If you didn't know that keratin is what gives hair it's structure as well as the shine that your hair naturally has.

I'm proud to say that this is one of my favourite hair products, I'm going to be very upset when I finish using the pot up. I've been using it now for a couple of weeks and ohhh maa gawdd, it's amazing.

Right all you have to do is shampoo your hair thoroughly, and then apply this product generously from the mid length of your hair to the ends and leave for between 5 and 30 minutes. The longer you leave the treatment on for the better the result will be. I personally leave the treatment on my hair for around 15 minutes, whilst in the shower and I will use the treatment every 10 days or so. The instructions on the pot says that "for best results use every two weeks".

My hair is fairly healthy but with the heat we have had recently I've found that my ends are becoming drier quicker. However since using the treatment my ends of my hair are not drying out. MIRACLE.. Praise the hair lords! My hair is feeling so soft and it's amazing.

I hope you've got some secrets to keep your hair super soft and sassy. If you do, then let me know what your secrets are!

Blogger Of The Week #3

I thought I would share some of the love within the blogging community. So I've decided that I will do this "Blogger Of The Week" where either once a week or once every 2 weeks I will dedicate a blog post to a blogger that I truly like and love reading their content.

Now my latest 'Blogger Of The Week' is going to the lovely Saph from 'Simply Saph'. She runs a lovely lifestyle & pregnancy blog and I do love her content.

She is a blogger that will always reply to your tweets and can have conversations about practically anything and everything. We had a couple of tweets between us about Chun Shan of all things. But his pretty cool though.

I'm super excited to see where her blog will go and develop especially now that her baby boy, Charlie was born a few days ago. I'm sure she will be a brilliant mum. Of the photos I've seen his a little cutie!

Saph is really into her photography and you can see her beautiful work through her little Etsy store where she sells her prints.

In case you haven't seen Saph before I will leave her links below.
