Setting My Annual Goals

Now I do love setting myself goals it makes me work hard towards something. I have set myself goals for my personal life as well as my blogging life.

Personal Life Goals..

- I would love to make my bedroom as minimal as possible. I have a fair few things in there right now and having less stuff would make my life a lot easier to deal with. Plus I do like the minimal look.

- Have my saving account for my mortgage deposit at £7500. I have mentioned in previous post how I'm planning on achieving this.

- Traveling, I would like to go traveling twice with Tristan by this time next year. I know we will achieve at least going away at least once because we are going away in a couple of months but if we achieve it twice then that will be so good.

Blogging Life..

- Reaching a target off 2,000 followers on Twitter would be amazing, I'm just over 1,500 now. I'm not someone who is completely focused on having the highest amount of followers but a small increase would be amazing.

- I would love to collab with more brands. I have recently collaborated with my second brand and the experience of this is amazing. I do love being included in brands and makes me feel more of the blogging community.

These are only a few goals of mine but if I achieve these by August 2018 I will be so excited. I shall do an update as the year goes on. See you again soon.

Ways I Like To Relax

Relaxation is something that everyone has to do or other wise you'll go insane and you'll burn the candles at both ends. I have a few ways on how I like to relax after a stress week at work or just a stress week of life.

- I love to relax by going for a walk whether it's on my own or with Tristan.

- Getting in the car and going for a drive. I sometimes just get in the car and put the music on loud and just drive. Windows down just chilling out.

- Lighting candles, getting a blanket, and putting on a movie. Making the room cosy is something that I love doing.

- Diving into the depths of YouTube is always something that relaxes me. Finding funny comedy sketches or just watching my favourite YouTubers videos.

- A bit of self care. I mean I straighten my hair, and make myself feel b-e-a-uitful. My hair is something that I don't straighten very often so when I straighten it I feel all sassy and amazing.

- Playing Xbox or PS4 with Tristan, this doesn't happen very often because I have a short attention span. I will play against Tristan and he often whoops my arse, however I will get them fluke shots and his in shock on how I kill him. It's a good giggle when we are playing together.

- Play around with makeup. Creating eye looks and playing around with makeup is something that I love doing considering I don't get to wear a full face of makeup very often because I work in a hot sweaty warehouse.

- Reading the Dear Deidre from the sun. I'm one of those people that watch Jeremy Kyle to make themselves feel better.

- Watching Tristan play Xbox or PS4. I like watching Tristan play his games because sometimes if his struggling to figure out a campaign then I can help him. Or if his playing a shooting game I will be helping him scope people out. We are a good team.

I hope you can take some of my ways of relaxing and make it work for you. If you have any ways of relaxing that you might think would be helpful for me, then leave it down below.

Indy Luxe Brush Collection*

After a conversation with this amazing brand about brush design ideas, I decided to apply to become apart of their 'Brush Squad'. I was super amazed that that agree to allow me to join there team of bloggers. This is a positive thing for you lovely ladies and gentleman as well because you get a 20% discount but I will tell you more about that later.

There brush collections that they have are amazing, however my eye has been on the pearlsecent marble collection for a long time. However I was too late to get those because they are now totally sold out. Should of ordered it when it first came out. Maybe next time.

Indyluxe's latest brush collection has just been announced and goes on sale on Friday! The Merbabe Collection, this is a collection of 10 synthetic bristle brushes that have a very instagrammable mermaid tail design. Remember set those alarms ready for Friday if you want to get your hands on this latest set of brushes.

Let's get onto the brushes that I ordered myself the Rose Gold Brushes and I absolutely love these brushes. They are so soft plus I used a couple of the eye brushes to help blend and create an eye look for Andi's birthday party the last week. I must say my makeup looked amazing that day.

The brushes are super soft and are so easy to clean. The brushes haven't started shredding which I'm super happy about. I thought it the brushes might have a couple of fibres have shred off, but nope none of that.

I would recommend you to purchase these brushes especially because they are super affordable compared to other makeup brush brands out there. For instance Spectrum brushes.

Now here's the brilliant bit for you lovely ladies.. If you would love to have 20% off your order with IndyLuxe then just apply my code 'BLOGOBVIOUS20'.

Let me know if you are going to be using the discount code.

Dorkface Shop Review

I recently placed an order on this really cute Esty shop that the queen on the blogging community owns, runs and produces the gorgeous pieces on there.

Jemma has got a large selection of items that you can choose from ranging from prints to stickers to cute danity jewellery.

I ordered a print for my anniversary as a present for Tristan. I saw a print that had an anchor on it where you can have it personalised with names and dates. This print around an A4 size which is just a prefect size.
The beautiful print that Jemma created for my Anniversary.
This print cost myself around £5.50 including postage and packaging which I thought was a brilliant price. It came nicely wrapped inside a hardback A4 brown envelope inside a plastic wallet so it was not bent at all.

When Tristan opened it up and his response was, 'It's amazing and very different'. Which is what I was hoping for plus his now moaning his having to find a photo frame for it now. So we will be going shopping in a couple of weeks for one that will suit his room.

I would love for everyone to go and support Jemma and her small business, whether you retweet and share her work. Or you purchase something. Support is anyway possible. Since writing this post a couple of weeks ago, Jemma has had a right nightmare with her laptop. Her whole laptop crashed out and then caused her to loss a large amount of her Esty prints that were being stored on it. Jemma at the moment is rebuilding her store so if you are placing orders then please give her a little bit of time to get her shop together.

Jemma is a delight and I will be ordering more prints from her soon plus I'm super excited about everything that this lovely lady has in store for everyone.

Keep slaying it Jemma!

Throwback Friday

Now I was born in the 90's however the music from the 00's is what sticks in my mind most when someone says throwback music. I thought I would write a list of songs that take me back to my childhood. If you want to listen to any of the songs in this list then just click them and it will take you to a YouTube Link.

What songs did you grow up listening too and what songs take you back your childhood? I love all these songs as much now as I did back then. It's a shame they don't make music like this now days!

Body Confidence

Now body confidence is something that I'm sure every body suffers with at some point in there life. At this time of year it increases a lot for some people, due to the weather changing and it getting warmer, more skin on show is inevitable to keep cool.

I find personally that the area of my body I get self conscious about is my stomach area. I personally will never ever wear crop tops because I don't think that Tom, Dick and Harry down the road want to see my muffin top sticking out over the top of my jeans. But yet again why am I taking other peoples feelings and thoughts into consideration? Is it so I look socially acceptable? Or how society dictates how I look?

Those sorts of thoughts should never come into your mind when deciding what to wear. For instance I have had this installed into my mind since I was a young teenager that "fatter" girls should never wear horizontal stripes, they should only wear vertical because it's "slimming". What a load of donkey dick, that is. This is something that I don't believe in myself. Wear whatever stripes you want and in whatever direction you want them in to.

It's a lot easier said than done to ignore what you think other people are thinking about you and what you are wearing. However I find doing every small trips out to the shop or post office is the best time to test new things out when it comes to an outfit.

I have never and will never try on clothes whilst in changing rooms like Primark or New Look. I find trying on clothes in familiar surrounding can do you a world of good. I find that changing rooms have a funny light or weird mirrors in them at times which makes the clothes look different. Yes, this can be a pain especially when you've got to take stuff back but I find it the best way to do it personally. Plus I normally have a fashion parade when trying them on in front of Tristan or my mum.

Body confidence is all a mental state of mind. The way I think of it, is that everyone has a fat roll when they bend over, or that famous people will also have body issues as well. They are in the lime light and they have got to look amazing according to media but they try there hardest to hide it. Some of them are doing us woman proud and flaunting there body hang ups with pride. Which is what we as women and men should be doing too.

Remember you rock..

My Must Have Face Wash..

I'm someone who hasn't got flawless skin and has never had since my body decided to start entering womanhood just over 10 years now. I've tried everything from Simple Skin Care through to the more expensive Proactiv.

Now I'm glad to say I've found the ONE, now this most favourite facial wash I've ever tried and I've tried loads. The Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity Vitamin C Facial Wash is the ONE for me! I'm so glad that I've discovered it around a year ago whilst I was on a browse in Boots.

This face wash is so gentle on the skin however because of the little micro-beads that are in it help lift the dirty and my makeup off the skin with ease. It's lightly scented so no over powering scents to be dealing with which can be a bull ache! I know micro beads are not good for the environment because they do not breakdown when in the water system however, these are environmentally friendly and they are made up off jojoba.

This formula foams slightly whilst you are washing your face with it, but is not drying on the skin. Which is the best thing for me because I find my skin can get so dry unfortunately so all the moisture my skin can retain the better it is for my skin.

I find that this product is fairly purse friendly at £8, however I do know there are more expensive and cheaper products out there so it's more mid range.

If you have not tried this product I would, the bottle lasts me around 3/4 months if not longer. It all depends on the amount I use to wash my face with. If you've tried this product please let me know how it was for you!

My 4 Year Anniversary

Today, is my 4 year anniversary with Tristan. I thought I would write a little story on how we meet and what are the milestones that we have done together in the last 4 years.

So Tristan and I met whilst at work, I had only been there for around 2 weeks when we started talking. I was after something that I couldn't find so I asked him for help, he came back with it. That was the first time we spoke, and we said hello and stuff as we pasted each  other.

I knew that Tristan was interested in me because I caught Tristan doing a double take when I was in the staff shop. I will never let him live that down. After that point we started talking more and I went and sat with him on his break, and we just talked about random stuff. We clicked immediately, something about our friendship was just something I didn't have at the time before.

We had a few days where we went to the cinema and just out together, this is what was to start our 4 year relationship and hopefully it will continue for many more.

We have managed to travel as a couple. We have travelled 8 times together and we are heading for our 9th holiday later this year. Traveling is something that I love doing and especially with Tristan. Some of the places we have been together are Crete, Dublin and Spain.

I can't wait to see what else we have install for the next couple of years. We have got some big things planned as a couple and we are hoping to achieve all our plans. This is an exciting time in our relationship.

I hope you have an amazing day, I will be spending my morning and lunch with Tristan and then spending the evening and night working.

Anyway I shall see you soon!

Ways To Save Money

Saving can be a hard thing to do for some because the temptation of shopping or buying new things like the latest phone, shoes and makeup is too strong. Now As you guys know if you saw my last post about money you will know that I'm saving money for a mortgage deposit. Now here are different ways that you can save money.

- Get yourself a no access saving account, this will stop you from getting your money out. I would only put some of your money into this type of account because if you need to access your money due to something cropping up and you need to access it.

- Save want you have before you start spending and not after your spending. This is something that is important, I always save money as soon as I get paid because it reduces the risk of spending money that you shouldn't be spending.

- Give yourself spending allowance every month. I give myself around £85 every month to spend on myself and the rest of my money goes into my bills and savings accounts. I don't always use this money and if I don't I roll it on to the next month spending allowance.

- Have a savings goal and have a plan on how you are going to achieve your goal. This will help you visualise how to save and where you will be by a certain time.

- Use a piggy bank to put your spare change in at the end of every week. It might not be a lot of money however over time it could add up to an extra £50.

- Use the cash instead of card. It's harder to give over cash than it is to use a card, plus you visually see what cash you have left.

- Saving Premium Bonds. This is a brilliant way of saving because you set up an account however when it comes to be taking your money out it will take 3 to 5 working days to receive your money back. So it can't be accessed quickly. A saving premium bond won't have interest added to it, however you are placed into a lottery type draw every month and you can win anything from £25 to £1 million. So they are very good saving bond.

I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any saving techniques then leave them below.

First Date Tips

Now first dates isn't something that I have a lot of experience in, however I've got a few tips that could help any singleton to have a successful first date.

- Don't stress about your date, yes I know first dates are a big thing because it helps with the whole first impressions thing.

- Dress appropriately for whatever your first date is. I find personally if you don't wear something normally then don't make out there your something that you aren't with your clothing.

- Don't change your personality on the date or just before a date because you think that the person you are going on a date with might not like it.

- If you both share your a hobby and you are able to do it as a first date then do it. It's a prefect way to break the ice.

- Leave your phone alone on the date. If you are constantly checking your phone during the date then it will give off the vibe that you aren't interested in that person. Unless you are really not into the person on the date then carry away to your hearts content.

- When it comes to texting each other after your date, there's no rules on who should text first. You know what if you like them and then text them. Don't be afraid to push yourself out there and show someone that you like people.

- Offer to pay for the date or say let's go dutch on it. Some guys/girls don't mind paying for the date from the get go. However out of politeness and it shows that you can look after yourself and pay for things. If they say they will take this one and you have a second date with them then you can pay for that one. Take it in turns.

- Remember to follow up your date with a "thank you" or a "it was nice to see you" text. It will reassure the person you had a date with that it was a good date. Now I don't mean this in a stalker-ish type way, but a small text to following morning or later than night is a good thing.

- Don't dominate the conversation. Share conversation between you's, ask questions to keep the conversation going. Have banter and jokes, show that you care in what they have to say, listen intently.

Well there's a few of my first date tips, if you have any more then share them because someone else might find them useful.

Perks Of Being In A Relationship

My blog this month is sort of turning into a relationship post, due to my 4 year anniversary with Tristan.

Obviously the first thing is that great about being in a relationship is that you have someone to rely on. Knowing there is always going to be someone there when you need them the most, especially if someone in a relationship is going through a tough time. Then you've got that shoulder to cry on or just someone who will listen to everything.

Getting to pig out on food and not being judge on it plus you have someone to pig out with. Once in a blue moon, I will have an appetite that means I could eat a horse. So ordering takeaways and pigging out is amazing! Normally we get a Chinese and all the trimmings that possibly comes with it and we eat as much as we can.

If one of you can't finish your food normally the other person will finish the other persons plate. So there will never be wasted food.

Doing stupid and embarrassing stuff and the other person will never judge. I'm forever being a idiot whilst out and being embarrassing just in general and Tristan just finds it funny and laughs about it. Even though some times Tristan like 'shhh, stop it.' I've embarrassed him so much in the last 4 years. One of my fondest memories that I can recall is when Tristan and I were at the cinema and were waiting for the film start and I started doing a Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. Where he started testing the acoustics in the cinema. I did this and it sent Tristan and I into hysterics.

You always have someone to scratch that one bit of your back you can never quite reach.

For those who are social media focus, you will always have someone who will like your posts, so at least your photos will never be a zero like posts.

Those secret looks and words that you can give each other and both you know will know whats going on and what each other is thinking. It's the best when you are trying to get out of that awkward situation or when you've wanting to get out of them gathering that neither of you wanted to attend.

The inside jokes where you can always refer to and everyone else around you is confused because you 2 are standing there laughing whilst everyone is just looking on.

You can share memories together, going on holidays, festivals, concerts and amazing days out together.

20 Date Ideas

Date nights or date days are important in any relationship that helps strengthen the bond and creates memories and laughter. So here's a list of my favourite things to do on date days or date nights to do with Tristan and some of these are things that I still want to do with Tristan.

1. Spending a day shopping. Tristan and I do this fairly often, it's nice to go out for a browse around the shops and have a good giggle whilst together.
2. Going out for dinner at your favourite place.
3. Going bowling.

4. Going to the cinema.

5. Going to the beach together.

6.  TV date night. Now Tristan and I do this every week, we have a selection of TV shows that we watch on catch up. Neither of us will watch them until we are together.
7. Some of you may call this Netflix & chill but I like to call it movies and duvet day. These are my favourite types of things to do.
8. Go to Thorpe Park Theme Park or a fun fair.
9. Long walks in the countryside. Tristan and I will go for a wonder around and we end up spending a few hours out and having a laugh.
10. Cooking food together, whether this breakfast or baking a cake. Lots of laughter can be had.
11. Day trips to the zoo.

13. Going for a lunch date, Tristan and I will do this every now and then. We will meet for lunch and after his finished work.
14. For those who are adventurous, go rock climbing.
15. Late night walk and watching the stars.
16. Watching the sunset or sunrise. This is something that Tristan and I have done once in a few times.
17. Go to the golf driving range. This is something that anyone can do, you don't need any experience to do. Making yourself looking like a prat is always something that is always funny.
18. If you both are into your gaming consoles then spending a day whooping each arses at games. It's good to have a bit of competition.
19. Going for couples massage or spa days.
20. Go for a swim together, this could be brilliant if you have one of those fun pools in your area.

So these are my 20 date ideas that you could do and between Tristan and I, we have done many of these. What are your favourite date ideas that you do with your partner?

Secrets To A Long Lasting Relationship

I've been with my partner Tristan for 4 years on the 13th July and I've discovered a lot about being in a long term relationship. So these are some tips and hints that I've discovered over the few years.

Firstly, always trust your partner. Don't stand there and second guess or judge what they doing but this all depends on the situation. But I've always said that a loving and forgiving relationship is better than a untrusting and grudge holding one.

We always make sure that if we have an argument that we never go a bed asleep angry with each other. We always work out everything before we go to bed, even if this means we are up til 3am sorting things out, it gets sorted. This means as well that when you wake up it's a new day and that means a clean slate. Normally one of us will make the other person breakfast in bed to sort of make up for it all. Just a small gesture.

Always make sure that you say 'good morning' and 'I love you' to each other. I was try and set up Tristan's day in a positive way.

The power of the hug. Remember to hug daily, it releases endrophines.

Always see how their day is going. Tristan and I will text each other or phone each other whilst we are on our breaks so we can see how there day is going. It's something that is now a habit. I do love it though, because if either of us feel like we need to get off our chests because of work is rubbish then we can. Or if we have juicy gossip then we gossip away.

I love being seen with Tristan, it makes me all squishy inside. Be proud of being in the relationship, remember no one obviously wants to see public displays of affection. But a sweet show of affection is acceptable. For instance, if I'm cooking food, will come over and put his arms around my waist from behind and give me a quick kiss on the side of the head or on my cheek. This makes me go all gooey inside, it's a sweet show of affection.

Hold each others hands. It might be an obvious thing to say but it's a way of showing public affection that isn't over the top.

Do not forget about a monthly date night. We always make sure that at least once a month we do something together that we enjoy. I get very excited about our monthly date nights. These might be a movie night with a takeaway or a nice walk. I'm thinking of doing a 'date night' posts, to go hand in hand with this post. That will be coming soon.

These are a few of my secrets to my long lasting relationship. I hope these are helpful to you.

Shall see you guys soon
