Fragrance Friday's! #1

This is a segment that I would love to make a regular occurrence on my blog. I'm a big fan of fragrances whether there's for myself or my other half or just friends and family.
This week, is one of my latest purchases which is DKNY Be Delicous!
I believe that this has been out for ages now but I only brought it a few weeks ago and I absolutely love this smell as a summer fragrance.
With its overwhelming smell of green apples and cucumber. It's one that makes me feel fresh and clean. This is one that I often will wear on a warm summers day. I will get compliments from co-workers, with people asking what I'm wearing.
It's a long lasting perfume which is what I look for within a fragrance. I don't want to be having to top up a fragrance throughout the day because of the fact that it's faded.
I made this purchase at Boots costing £37.00. It's a 30ml bottle which a decent size in my opinion. I have purchased a bottle for a friend for her 24th birthday and she absolutely loves it and she can't wait to wear the perfume now she has it.
I personally would recommend this perfume to anyone who is wanting a fresh scented perfume, thats long lasting and just beautiful.

Until Next Time..

Freeman Cucumber Peel Off Mask

This is something that I have lately become addicted to using them. Freeman mask is so nice for my skin and helpings lift dirt and moisturises my skin is nicely when it's having its bad days. I will do one of these masks every week often on a night in with my other half.

It retails for about £1.50 which is very good value for money especially when you can get between 2 to 4 masks out of one packet. These can be purchased at Tesco's. I normally get 2 because I do one and so does Tristan! We are both such divas when it comes to our facial routines.
I love that feeling when your peeling off the mask after it's been on for about 10 minutes it makes me feel like I've just peeled off the dead layer of skin on my face. It's just beautiful, just like the name of it.
I would recommend, if someone was looking for a high street or drug store face musk because it ticks so many of the boxes.

Freemans do have a more of a selection of face masks but this the only one that I have personally tried. I will definitely be picking up there other ones soon. Is there any face masks that you guys would recommend, if so let me know below in the comments section

Primark, Boots and B&M Haul

On the 9th I went to Intu Lakeside with my friend Naomi, for a splash of retail shopping. I didn't go with the aim in mind on what I wanted, I just wanted to browse.

When we arrived we headed to the mothership, Primark! Lakeside's Primark is massive spread out over 3 floors. We spent around 1 hour and a half in there, which for Naomi and I, is pretty bad for us. Whilst in there I only spent £16.50 which is minimal compared to what it could of been.

I brought this lovely smelling candle which costs £3.50. This candle is a blackberry & which smells AMAZING! I like this candle because it comes within a tin so you can transport it or store it away without it becoming damaged. The tin has a very simple design on it and would suit my living room decor perfectly.

Next up socks! I love socks! I have a weird thing about socks. I will just buy socks because you have a pretty pattern on it, however for me to be wearing matching socks at the same time is something that doesn't happen very often. Whilst in Primark I picked up a pair of cosy socks in red with a black and white design on them. I love the colour red, it is my favourite colour in the rainbow. These cost £2.

Another pair of socks that I picked up was these minion socks. I love minions about as much as I love socks, which is a lot. These just were calling my name whilst sitting there on the rail. They are a pack of 3 socks all with a different design on them. Bright colourful socks are one of my favourite styles. However I like wearing theses because I could be wearing a really smart outfit within knee high boots and no one will know that I have minions on my feet.

I do love a good tartan/check pattern when it comes to clothes. I brought this scarf which is this beautiful check pattern and it is so so soft. I love the green within the check pattern. I'm not one for wearing anything with green in but I'm really liking this. I think it will look good paired up with a pair of black skinny jeans, boots and a leather jacket. This cost £5. When I saw this I could just see myself wearing this whilst on holiday or when it's snowing in the winter.

I had a wondered into the mens section and found this beautiful hanging on the wall. This Marvel top was just there calling my name. I've recently been watching a lot more marvel movies and cartoons, so this just suits me to the tee. This was actually reduced down from £8 to £3 so this was an absolute bargain. I brought it in a medium which fits be lovely. This I will be wearing on a relaxing sort of day or for when I go on holiday in November.

Next shop that we pit stopped into which I brought things in were Boots. I'm suffering with a real bad problem of being pale than pale. My small tan that I had over the summer is well and truly gone until next year. I'm finding it so hard to find a foundation colour that actually suits me because of how pale I am. I picked up with Revlon 24hr Foundation in 100 Ivory.

I have also picked up some more Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Collection as well. I brought there cleansing toner and a day shine.

I also pick up this Batiste 50ml original dry shampoo. This didn't cost me anything because it was a deal that I found on my Boots phone app, which is if I spent more than £10 it was free. This is the prefect size for traveling so thats going to be packed for our holiday in November.

I have also brought an aftershave for Tristan 23rd birthday in November, however I won't say what it is because he might be reading this so I can't let him know what I've brought it or it will ruin the surprise.

~

We head to B&M which was a bad idea, because I said to Naomi if I pick up a trolley I would leave with the store so we both armed ourselves with a basket which were overfilling by the end of us walking around. If you aren't 100% sure what B&M is it's a bargain home store, which has furniture, furnishing and grocery products within it.

I firstly picked up some hand wash and toothpaste which isn't anything amazing but only cost me £1.89 all together. That is very cheap in my opinion.

I also brought some christmas decorations for work. At work we have a trolley that we use for our work whilst out on the shop floor so we don't have to keep walking too and from admin to get paper work. Anyway back to the decorations, Naomi and I were thinking about decoration the trolley up to help get everyone in a more festive mood.

I've brought some Tea tree anti-bacterial hand wash. I love tea tree at the moment. This huge bottle of 500ml only cost me £1.

I also brought some gorgeous wrapping paper for christmas prezzies. I love the black and gold theme, I done this last year and I'm going to carry this into this year. So this comes with 4 different designed wrapping paper and 4 bows and 2 bundles of ribbon. It was reduced from £10 to £4.99 so I thought it was a good buy.

I also brought some present whilst walking around the store. I've brought my mum a mug, which has a bell attached to it that you ring for more tea. It was meant to cost £5 but it only cost me £1.99. My mum is known for her tea addiction. She will always have a pot of tea brewing away. She has a little tea tray that she takes everywhere.

I brought this Marvel hardback notepad. I do love the look of this and I know who will love it even more than me. My chummy Naomi. She is marvel fan! So this is just a start to everything that she will be getting for christmas.

I've brought some men's novelty socks. I think as you can tell already I love socks. These socks are so cool and I've worn them a lot already and they are so soft and they don't annoy my feet. They have words on them with an arrow pointing up, so dependant on what I'm feeling will depend on what word I will wear.

I also brought some car air fresheners. I just loved all the bright colours and I love the ice cream air fresheners! 😁 For the 4 air fresheners, it cost me 99p. They smell very fruity and bubbly, Tristan isn't the biggest fan but for 99p they aren't bad air fresheners.

I brought a tub of sweets to use as a bit of a stocking filler which I'm hoping I'm able to create a mini stocking filler for my younger nephew and niece's, Mason, Georgie and Andi. Knowing me, I will end up eating a lot of them if I open them especially if Tristan gets his hands on them! We love these sorts of sweets, they remind us of our childhood. I think this cost me £3.

I hope you enjoyed everything I've brought! Yes, it was a bit hit and miss on what I brought. But thats what happens when I go shopping! See you again soon!

Simple Vs Clean&Clear

I've been using Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturiser for a couple of years now and I thought I would change it up and use Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser which I have been using for the last 6 weeks now.

I thought I would do a comparison of the two products. Clean&Clear is a very well known company for skin care but I feel like Simple, over the last year or so has been out shining them. Simple is well know for the minimal ingredients within there products. From this persona they have they portray makes us there customers believe, there products are better for the skin due to the lower ingredients within there products.

Price

I personally purchase my skin beauty products from Boots so it maybe cheaper in other places. Simple costs £4.19 for a 125ml bottle and Clean&Clear costs £3.20 for a 100ml bottle.Price side of things the Clean&Clear is cheap for the amount of product you get and the cost of the product.

So thats one to Clean&Clear, zero to Simple.

Texture

The texture of the product is very important to me when it comes to moisturiser because of the fact I want something that feels light on the skin and doesn't feel too heavy and sinks nicely into the skin. Simple does exactly what I want it to do, the fact that the product is fairly light and takes a couple of minutes to settle into the skin. I don't personally find it too sticky compared unlike Clean&Clear that to me is so sticky. I personally find the Clean&Clear too heavy on my skin and that it just sits on my skin it doesn't sink in very well.

One all.

Packaging

This might be seen as an odd thing to review a product on but i always believe that the packaging of a product will reflect on the quality of the product inside.

i found the packaging on the Clean&Clear to be very basic. its just a simple squeezy bottle/tube. Whereas with Simple the product is packaged within a box and within the box you'll find a bottle. This sort of packaging attracts me personally, its very simple and clean packaging. I prefer things that have been boxed up an protected a little.

So for packaging Simple takes the lead. 2 - 1 to Simple.

Results

Simple is a rich moisturiser and does exactly what it says on the bottle, its a deep moisturiser. I suffer with dry skin on the sides of my face and Clean&Clear would help moisture them for a couple of hours and they would start to flake under my make up and it was just blurghh. Awful. I find that Simple moisturises all day and my make up sits nicely on my face after using it.

Winner is Simple with a 3 - 1 lead to Clean&Clear.

I think its pretty obvious on who I'm loving most out of Clean&Clear and Simple.
Simple is just a nice product, good packaging, does what its says.

Clean&Clear is good but Simple is slowly becoming my new favourite skin brand.

Whats your favourite skin brand? or one that you would recommend? Comment below and let me know!

Until next time.

Skin Care Tips

Looking after your skin is very important. It's the biggest organisms that we have, and often is the main thing that causes us issues. Whether it's issues like dry skin, oily skin or blemish prone skin, lots of people in the world have a issues with their skin.

My skin isn't perfect, I have my flaws. I have suffer with breakouts and have large pores. The skin on my upper arms can become dry for no apparent reason.

Here's a few tips on skin care:

- Shea butter can be used to help soften skin & reduce inflammation. Also it can help the appearance of scars.

- Suffer with ingrown hairs? The best solution for this to exfoliate your skin to remove the dead skin cell which can cause the ingrowing hairs!

- Shaving can also cause ingrowing hairs. I find that the best thing to do is to exfoliate the skin before you've shaved. With waxing, I recommend exfoliating the day before you are going to wax. Make sure you are not shaving with a dull razor, dull or old razors can cause more harm than good!

- Reducing the amount of sugary drink in take, this help with the reducing the amount of blemishes you develop. Replace sugary drinks with water, water is your best friend for you skin! Try to drink around 2 litres of water per day. If you are going to drink sugary drinks like coke or fanta then equal it out by drinking the same amount of water as you do fizzy.

- Wanting to reduce the appearance and redness of acne breakouts then place a ice cubes on the area.

- Suffering with random breakouts of acne, it could be that your makeup brushes or sponges are needing to be cleaned. Brushes and sponges are a breeding ground for bacteria. When left uncleaned the bacteria will just multiply and cause problems. So clean your brushes and sponges, girls!

- Eating fatty acids will help your skin appearance. Helping your skin or look a bit plumper and younger. Getting out there and start eating things such as salmon and avocados.

- Eating foods that are high in amino acids will help with the collagen production within the body.

- When moisturising your body try and use moisturisers which don't have a scent to them. Yes, I know I'm a sucker for scented things, however, the perfume within the moisturiser can affect the PH level within the skin causing irritation and redness.

If these tips are helpful to you then use them and spread the word! I'm no skin guru to say the least, these tips which help me! If you have skin care tips yourself that you would like to share then please leave a comment below.

Until next time!

Professional Rio Nail Art Pens

I haven't really been focusing on my nails much recently, coming up with new designs or looking for new design aiding tools. This is due to my life becoming more and more hectic recently.

Anyway back to nails.. I've brought this Professional Rio Nail Art Pens. It cost me £19.99 from Tesco Direct. It's a little bit pricey for my liking but I went for it anyway.

Looking at the product online, I like the duel use of the product, I.e that it came with the brush or striper and a dotting tool within one single unit.

I ordered the original version of the product which comes with 6 colours which are; red, blue, yellow, black, white and green. Each little bottle that comes in a 10 ml size bottle which is a fairly normal size for a nail polish.

The packaging was brilliant and it was not damaged upon arrival, which I was slightly worried about to begin with.

The nail polish themselves are not runny, which I have found before with other nail strippers in the past. Using the brush feature was very easy and I could use it with ease. The dotting tool side of things I found a lot more harder because I found that the nail polish would dry as I was trying to use it which was slightly disappointing.

The product itself comes with a "how to" DVD which I didn't know when I ordered it. This was a lovely surprise for when I opened the product up. I have watched the DVD and does lead you through things perfectly! As well it teaches how to do Marble effect nails which was helpful because I've tried in the past and failed miserable.

I would recommend this product to anyone that is either starting out within the nail industry or someone who likes to have a play around with nail designing, like myself! It's a great little set! I love it!

I hoped you enjoyed this and if you like this then please leave a comment below.

Until next time!

Winter Skin Care

With the cold winds and scarfs and thick fluffy socks at the ready, it can only mean one thing. That winter is coming. (Game of Thrones reference there, haha) Well it will be in a few weeks so I'm preparing myself now for it.

I suffer with dry skin and its made worse within the winter time due to the coldness. It is also effected by the fact I work in a dry and sometimes humid warehouse and my hands suffer the most because I'm consistently picking things up and pushing heavy things.

So for the dry patches I get on my arms and my legs I use Nivea Body Moisturiser Rich Nourishing for Dry Skin! This moisturiser has Almond Oil within it which helps soften the skin and helps to restore the moisture. This Nivea moisturiser has what they call Hydra IQ which is meant to  help promote a non-stop moisture supply within the skin! All I'm going to say is that this product works fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone that suffers with dry skin! This is quite a big bottle and it has last me ages, I can't actually remember when I brought this but I think I've had it since about August and it's still going strong.

I suffer with dry skin on my face from time to time, so I use a Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturiser! This moisturiser will be what I use during my skincare routine but sometimes I don't use it because I forgot or just can't be bothered to use it. However when I don't use it, I suffer with dry skin so this is a another life saver. It's designed for obviously moisturising as well as helps prevent spots and blemishes from appearing! But another great moisturers!

My hands is what gets dry the most and this is because I use them a lot at work by picking things up and pushing heavy objects around for 8 hours a day! I use 3 different hand moisturisers dependent on what my hands are needing!

1. Vaseline - Healthy Hands + Stronger Nails
This moisturiser is brilliant because it is multi purpose product due to it being designed both moisturising the skin as well as help strengthing the nails by up to 50%. This hand cream contains Keratin + Stratys-3 which combined helps moisturisers not just the top layers of skin but the core and deep down layers too.

2. Garnier Hand - Intensive 7 Days Hand Cream HYDRATING.
This hand cream is designed for normal to dry skin. This moisturiser is an ultra-hydrating formula which is enriched with L-Bifidus and Aloe Vera which helps sooth the skin and restore the moisture and natural skin quality. Everyone knows that aloe vera is full of vitamins and minerals which are hydrating properties.

3. Garnier Hand - Intensive 7 Days Hand Cream RESTORING.
This hand cream is designed for dry and chapped hands. This hand cream has L-Bifidus and Shea Butter to help intensively replenish hands with moisture making them feel supple and soft.

All the hand products above I would recommend to anyone this is due to the pure fact that it all of them help me maintain and care for my skin and nails.

All the products above are so good that I can't put into words how good they are. I LOVE them all! Hope you enjoyed and if you have got your own skin care products that you use that you want to share then please leave a comment below.

Until next time!
